Este módulo sienta las bases para comprender la participación como un ejercicio vivo, caótico y acelerado donde las certezas se desarman continuamente.
1.1 Democracia creativa. En esta sesión se explorarán diferentes formas que a lo largo de la historia de la democracia moderna han servido para adquirir derechos sociales, poniendo el foco en la creatividad como forma de llevarse a cabo.
1.2 Decidir cambios con palabras. En esta sesión nos acompañará Ernesto Ganuza, experto en democracia deliberativa y sesgos cognitivos. Junto a él, se analizaran falacias antidemocráticas y los condicionamientos cognitivos que dificultan la participación.
1.3 La deliberación puesta en práctica. En esta sesión, junto a Oliver Escobar, experto en participación ciudadana, nos preguntaremos cómo se diseñan los diálogos y asambleas ciudadanas en la diversidad (enclaves, rol de los grupos de interés, cosmovisiones) haciendo hincapié en la diferencia entre deliberar y dialogar.

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
