Este módulo está diseñado para conocer otras formas de investigación y poner en evidencia el papel de investigador a la hora de sacar sus propias conclusiones. Plantea la investigación como un proceso creativo y políticamente comprometido.
4.1 Técnicas creativas de procesamiento de la información para ayudar a la ciudadanía a crear políticas públicas. La primera sesión, liderada por Enric Senabre, está diseñada para comprender nuevas técnicas creativas de procesamiento de la información para ayudar a la ciudadanía a crear políticas públicas.
4.2 Investigación-acción. La segunda sesión, concebida junto a Oyidiya Oji, abogada de derechos digitales, y Eva Belmonte, fundadora de Civio, explora la investigación-acción como estrategia para cuestionar y desafiar estructuras de poder establecidas y reclamar derechos digitales fundamentales.
El módulo terminará en una sesión presencial en el Canódromo, basada en la visualización de datos, donde el alumnado tendrá que mostrar nuevas formas de representación de la información, más empática y efectiva.

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
