Mindset Revolution: The Process
#mindsetrevolution Strengthening Youth Voice on Youth Mental Health
Mindset Revolution End of Project Party
Over the past 9 months a diverse group of 20 young people have been working to better mental health services and policies for 16-25-year olds. They are supported by a partnership of charities, community groups and academics.
The young people trained in Legislative Theatre with award winning practitioner Katy Rubin, and they created and facilitated their own play on their experience of mental health support.
With help from Barcelona-based foundation Platoniq ung people also developed their collaborative space online, using the participatory platform Decidim. They ran their own digital participation process to improve mental health support
They are putting together a Manifesto for Change in youth mental health in GM and will work with partners and policymakers to monitor progress on making these policy ideas a reality.
They are proving that an inclusive youth-led democracy can work and policymakers should pay attention.
This party celebrates their achievements. The young people also evaluated the project and this is an opportunty to share what we have learnt about youth-led participation, and discuss with the community and policymakes how we can all work together to build on the Mindset Revolution Legacy.
