Este módulo propone hackear las herramientas tecnológicas para diseñar procesos de participación y deliberación digital que cuestionen la neutralidad y busquen espacios seguros e inclusivos.
3.1 Nuevas herramientas para la misma vieja política? La dimensión digital de la participación. La primera sesión, concebida en colaboración con Marta Poblet, directora de investigación en Data Tank, analiza cómo los datos pueden ser herramientas de opresión o emancipación, dependiendo de cómo se gestionan. Se analizará la importancia de los datos y cómo éstos, más allá de una visión fría y deshumanizada, nos ayudan a prever y diseñar respuestas efectivas ante situaciones de emergencia que requieren una respuesta. 3.2 Cuidados y espacios seguros digitales. La segunda sesión, impartida por Nadia Nadesan, investigadora en Platoniq y Judith Membrives, experta en derechos humanos y tecnología, se preguntará sobre los espacios seguros digitales, los riesgos y posibilidades que supone la inteligencia artificial en la configuración de la democracia.
El módulo terminará en una sesión presencial en el Canódromo, donde el alumnado podrá mostrar el rediseño de un proceso digital, proponiendo nuevos módulos que amplifiquen los mensajes y promuevan la empatía entre los participantes y servidores públicos.

A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
